Tomorrow is the last day of school where I live and the teacher my oldest son has had this past year is a little extra special to our family. Not only is she my mom’s best friend, but I grew up with her son, she has daughters the age of my brothers, and we basically consider them all part of our family.
At the end of each school year I like to do something special for the teachers we’ve had throughout the year. If any of you know my son, you know he has a very cheesy and silly sense of humor. He loves jokes and loves to have fun so I thought this little play on words would be a great fit!
“Orange you glad it’s Summer?!” is a great gift idea for any teacher because let’s face it, they really are more than glad it’s finally Summer.
For this fun gift idea we just hit up the local dollar store and Walmart to gather up a bunch of ORANGE things that remind us of our favorite teacher. Anything orange will work for this and you can add as much or as little as you’d like. Heck, a bottle of orange soda would do great! Maybe an orange frosted cookie or some orange colored lotion. We made things a little extra special this year, just because we love her so much. Really, you can do whatever you’d like.
Just gather up all of your things, put them together and wrap them up in cellophane with a cute orange ribbon. Don’t forget to add a cute printable to it and and that’s it!
Today I’m offering this cute printable for anyone who wants to use this idea. Just right click and save it on your desktop, then print it with your favorite printing software. I like it best when printed on cardstock or photo paper.
Why stop with just a school teacher? The principal, librarian, school lunch worker, a dance teacher, piano teacher…this works for just about anyone!
